Unwanted wrinkles and fine lines eventually plague us all, with aging, sun damage, and other factors leading to these lines on our face over time. But with Botox injections at Evolve Med Spa, you don’t have to live with your lines. Our expert Botox providers can safely and painlessly help you erase wrinkles and fine lines bothering you on your face, helping you look and feel refreshed in just a single treatment.
Botox can also be used as a treatment for a range of other cosmetic and medical issues, including acne management, hyperhidrosis, TMJ, teeth grinding, gummy smile and more. At Evolve Med Spa, our skilled and trusted healthcare professionals can provide you with the ideal wrinkle relaxer treatment.
When injected into the body by a trained and licensed medical professional, Botox can be safely used to force muscles to relax. Muscles that are normally stressed or tense can be paralyzed or “frozen” by the injected Botox, forcing them to stop contracting and begin relaxing. Any side effect will then temporarily disappear. One common side effect of tense facial muscles is wrinkles and fine lines, as they pull back at the facial skin.
After a single treatment, clients can see reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and even large pores in a few days. With repeated use, Botox can even reduce static wrinkles and creases, leaving you with smooth, soft, wrinkle-free skin - without looking frozen. With just a few minutes in our office, our expert Evolve Med Spa injectors can customize your treatment to help you look and feel your best.
A common question we get from clients at Evolve Med Spa is whether Botox and dermal fillers are one and the same. It can be easy to think they might be the same kind of substance, as both are injected into the body and are used for some similar results.
However, it is important to note that Botox is not the same as popular dermal fillers on the market, like Juvederm or Restylane. The key difference between Botox and dermal fillers is the way they work.
Botox:
Botox temporarily paralyzes contracted muscles beneath the skin, forcing them to relax and stop pulling at the facial skin. This erases away any wrinkles and creases until the Botox wears off and the muscles begin contracting again.
Dermal fillers:
These are used to “fill in” the thinning space beneath the skin. As we age, we naturally lose the collagen in our skin that gives us the youthful plump and full appearance. These substances are commonly made of hyaluronic acid and are used to rejuvenate the skin by adding back that volume and smoothness, filling in the spaces and making wrinkles disappear.
Hyperhidrosis:
Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is the condition in which the body sweats too much, either in specific places like the palms and underarms, or all over. Botox has been found to be an effective treatment for hyperhidrosis. The substance is injected into the affected area and blocks the nerve signals in charge of sweating. This prevents them from causing too much sweat.
Lazy eye:
Lazy eye condition or strabismus is caused by a natural imbalance of strength in the various muscles that keep the eyes synchronized. Another cause of strabismus is nerve damage around the area. Most commonly found in children, strabismus is usually treated with eye exercises. However, in cases where eye exercises fail to successfully treat it, this product can be used to make symptoms disappear.
