Botox at Evolve
Med Spa

Unwanted wrinkles and fine lines eventually plague us all, with aging, sun damage, and other factors leading to these lines on all of our faces over time. But with Botox injections at Evolve Med Spa, you don’t have to live with your lines. Our expert Botox providers can safely and painlessly help you erase wrinkles and fine lines bothering you on your face, turning back the clock in just a single treatment.

Need Botox for other professional purposes or services? Botox can also be used as a treatment for a number of other cosmetic and medical issues, including acne management, hyperhidrosis, TMJ, teeth grinding, gummy smile and more. At Evolve Med Spa, our skilled and trusted NJ providers can provide you with the ideal Botox treatment for you.

What Is Botox and How It Works

When injected into the body by a trained and licensed medical professional, Botox can be safely used to force muscles to relax. Muscles that are normally stressed or tense can be paralyzed or “frozen” by the injected Botox, forcing them to stop contracting and begin relaxing. Any side effect will then temporarily disappear. One common side effect of tense facial muscles is wrinkles and fine lines, as they pull back at the facial skin.

After a single treatment, clients can see reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and even large pores in a few days. With repeated use, Botox can even reduce static wrinkles and creases, leaving you with smooth, soft, wrinkle-free skin - without looking frozen. With just a few minutes in our office, our expert Evolve Med Spa injectors can customize your treatment to help you look and feel your best.

Why Botox

The Botox product is so popular simply because it’s so painless. As it is a non-surgical and non-invasive procedure, this means clients don’t have to deal with the hassle of going to a hospital or planning time for downtime or recovery time away from work and their normal life.

Quick and easy:

There are few cosmetic treatments quicker and easier than Botox, which simply involves a few injections of the substance. Botox can be done as a lunchtime treatment, with clients coming in and out during their lunch break, with no need for any lengthy recovery time at all.

Completely safe:

Botox® has been used safely and successfully for decades. It is fast, effective, and the side effects are usually barely noticeable and gone within a few days. Despite the long-term Botox® effects, it is a safe way to minimize signs of aging and enhance features. Negative reactions to Botox are incredibly rare, with most clients only experiencing the slight side effects, such as slight bruising and swelling.

Consistent results:

Botox results never disappoint, which is why so many clients have their Botox maintained and retouched time and time again. While Botox does wear off after a few months, clients can have their Botox reinjected to maintain their wrinkle-free results.

Where Clients Can Get Botox

Forehead lines are one of the most common types of wrinkles and lines on the face, with people seeing their first signs of persistent forehead wrinkles as early as in their mid or late 20s. Botox in the forehead can treat any vertical wrinkles and horizontal lines above and between the eyes, and Botox for the forehead has already been approved for use by the Food and Drugs Administration or FDA.

Botox can be used on the lips in a treatment commonly referred to as a Botox lip flip. Botox lip flip services are great for clients who want to treat thinning lips. The injected Botox causes the lips to curl up by relaxing the muscles around the lips, thus leading to the natural appearance of looking larger.

Wrinkles around the neck are a common sign of aging, but for some people, signs of aging in the neck and chin area can also lead to sagging jowls. This makes the jawline disappear as the skin seems to sag down to the neck, while the neck itself develops fine lines and wrinkles. With Botox around the area, providers can focus on improving the appearance of the jawline while erasing wrinkles and fine lines.

Eyes and Eyebrows:

We all get wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes and eyebrows at some point. These wrinkles are known as crow’s feet, and a thinning of the skin, giving the appearance of hollowness and bagginess. With Botox, clients can have the signs of aging reduced in just a single session, with any existing crow’s feet below the eyebrows disappearing almost immediately.

Are Botox and Dermal Fillers the Same?

A common question we get from clients at Evolve Med Spa is whether Botox and dermal fillers are one and the same. It can be easy to think they might be the same kind of substance, as both are injected into the body and are used for some similar results.
However, it is important to note that Botox is not the same as popular dermal fillers on the market, like Juvederm or Restylane. The key difference between Botox and dermal fillers is the way they work.

  • Botox:
Botox temporarily paralyzes contracted muscles beneath the skin, forcing them to relax and stop pulling at the facial skin. This erases away any wrinkles and creases until the Botox wears off and the muscles begin contracting again.

  • Dermal fillers:
These are used to “fill in” the thinning space beneath the skin. As we age, we naturally lose the collagen in our skin that gives us the youthful plump and full appearance. These substances are commonly made of hyaluronic acid and are used to rejuvenate the skin by adding back that volume and smoothness, filling in the spaces and making wrinkles disappear.

Other Conditions Botox Can Treat

  • Hyperhidrosis:
Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is the condition in which the body sweats too much, either in specific places like the palms and underarms, or all over. Botox has been found to be an effective treatment for hyperhidrosis. The substance is injected into the affected area and blocks the nerve signals in charge of sweating. This prevents them from causing too much sweat.

  • Lazy eye:
Lazy eye condition or strabismus is caused by a natural imbalance of strength in the various muscles that keep the eyes synchronized. Another cause of strabismus is nerve damage around the area. Most commonly found in children, strabismus is usually treated with eye exercises. However, in cases where eye exercises fail to successfully treat it, this product can be used to make symptoms disappear.

  • Neck pain:
Chronic neck pain and discomfort can be a huge issue, especially if the pain gets to the point that the individual has difficulty performing their daily tasks. Recent studies have found that just a single injection of Botox is enough to significantly relieve chronic neck pain, if the neck pain is a result of contracted muscles. Clients can experience the best relief if the Botox is paired with professional physical therapy.
  • Overactive bladder:
In 2013, Botox was approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for the treatment of OAB, or overactive bladder. Overactive bladder -- or the condition in which you need to urinate at least 8 times per day, while frequently “leaking” -- is caused by a number of symptoms related to the muscles around the bladder area. Botox as a treatment works by relaxing the muscles and nerves around the bladder, allowing them to function properly.

Alternative Botox Uses:
How Else We Help Clients With Botox

Botox is much more than just a wrinkle-eraser for aging skin. There are many other ways Botox can help change lives, both for medical and cosmetic purposes. Our other Botox services at Evolve Med Spa include:

Masseter Botox

If you experience teeth grinding and jaw clenching, then Botox injected directly into your lower jawbone -- around the masseter muscle -- is exactly what you need to help calm your overactive muscles while slimming your lower face at the same time.

Botox Lip Flip

For that plumper and thicker lip you’ve always wanted, sometimes the Botox Lip Flip treatment is better than the usual dermal filler. With a Botox Lip Flip, our providers inject Botox along your upper lip muscles, allowing the lip to naturally “flip” upwards, making it look larger and more luscious without the use of any filler.

Botox Gummy Smile

Nobody likes having a gummy smile, or the smile that happens when your lips expose too much of your gums. With just a few units of Botox injected between the upper lip and nose, we can help reduce the appearance of your gummy smile instantly, making your smile end where it should: at your teeth.

Use Botox for these conditions and more:

Lip lift
Wrinkle relaxer
Chin and Jawline Softening
Twitching Eye Treatment
Botox Lip Lifts
