All About Wrinkle Relaxers

What are the benefits of Wrinkle Relaxers?

  • In the hands of our expert providers, injectable toxins can help erase facial wrinkles and fine lines, leaving your skin smooth and refreshed.
  • Xeomin, Botox, and other toxins offer additional benefits beyond aesthetics, treating hyperhidrosis, TMJ, teeth grinding, gummy smiles and more.

How do Wrinkle Relaxers
work?

  • Muscles that are normally tense can be "frozen" by injected toxin, forcing them to relax.
  • After a single treatment, clients can see reduction in fine lines, wrinkles, and even large pores.

How do I prepare for Wrinkle Relaxers?

  • Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and supplements like fish oil and vitamin E, for at least one week before treatment to reduce the risk of bruising, unless prescribed by your doctor

I went for the first time for Botox on my face and to reduce underarm sweating. The professionalism from the moment I walked in I was greeted with a smile and immediately felt comfortable. My provider administered the Botox and made me feel comfortable and at ease. She walked me through each time she would inject a needle and explained in detail all the after care. I was so happy with my service.

I waited a week to write a review as they say it takes a week to see full results. But the verdict is in- I love my lip flip and the whole experience at Evolve! My lips are not my strongest feature so I wanted to try the lip flip to see if it would make them more symmetrical. It didn’t seem too aggressive, as a procedure, but I was still nervous. My injector was the model of a trusted pro. Calm, friendly, patient, informative, thorough. I really was in good hands! The receptionist was super friendly and made me feel welcome. I love my results- my top lip is more symmetrical, balanced and it gives more symmetry to my face. It’s a subtle change but I notice it and it’s a nice little lift. I will definitely do this again!!!

I had an amazing experience at Evolve. I have been getting injected for over 10 years and have never been given such an extensive understanding of what my injector was doing and what my exact results would be. This made me feel so comfortable seeing how knowledgeable they were at their craft. I will absolutely be returning to evolve.

Frequently Asked Questions about Wrinkle Relaxers

Are Wrinkle Relaxers and Dermal Fillers the Same?

A common question we get from clients at Evolve Med Spa is whether Wrinkle Relaxers and dermal fillers are one and the same. It can be easy to think they might be the same kind of substance, as both are injected into the body and are used for some similar results.
However, it is important to note that Wrinkle Relaxers is not the same as popular dermal fillers on the market, like Juvederm or Restylane. The key difference between Botox and dermal fillers is the way they work.

    Wrinkle Relaxers:
Wrinkle Relaxers temporarily paralyzes contracted muscles beneath the skin, forcing them to relax and stop pulling at the facial skin. This erases away any wrinkles and creases until the Wrinkle Relaxers wears off and the muscles begin contracting again.

    Dermal fillers:
These are used to “fill in” the thinning space beneath the skin. As we age, we naturally lose the collagen in our skin that gives us the youthful plump and full appearance. These substances are commonly made of hyaluronic acid and are used to rejuvenate the skin by adding back that volume and smoothness, filling in the spaces and making wrinkles disappear.

What other conditions can Wrinkle Relaxers treat?

    Hyperhidrosis:
Hyperhidrosis or excessive sweating is the condition in which the body sweats too much, either in specific places like the palms and underarms, or all over. Wrinkle Relaxers has been found to be an effective treatment for hyperhidrosis. The substance is injected into the affected area and blocks the nerve signals in charge of sweating. This prevents them from causing too much sweat.

    Lazy eye:
Lazy eye condition or strabismus is caused by a natural imbalance of strength in the various muscles that keep the eyes synchronized. Another cause of strabismus is nerve damage around the area. Most commonly found in children, strabismus is usually treated with eye exercises. However, in cases where eye exercises fail to successfully treat it, this product can be used to make symptoms disappear.

    Neck/Back pain:
Chronic neck/back pain and discomfort can be a huge issue, especially if the pain gets to the point that the individual has difficulty performing their daily tasks. Recent studies have found that just a single injection of Wrinkle Relaxers is enough to significantly relieve chronic pain, if the pain is a result of contracted muscles. This popular treatment is known as "Trap Tox." Clients can experience the best relief if Wrinkle Relaxers is paired with professional physical therapy.

    Additional conditions:
Acne management; lip lifts, wrinkle relaxing; chin and jawline softening; twitching eye treatment; TMJ; teeth grinding; jaw clenching; gummy smile; chin dimpling; headaches; facial slimming.

What is the aftercare for Wrinkle Relaxers?

Following your Wrinkle Relaxers or injectable toxin treatment, there are a few key things to remember to optimize results. For the next few days, avoid massaging the treated area to prevent product migration. You can lightly apply ice packs to minimize swelling if needed. Additionally, maintain good posture by keeping your head upright for at least 4 hours after treatment. To ensure the product settles properly, avoid sweating excessively for 24 hours. This means holding off on strenuous exercise, saunas, and hot tubs. Finally, you can apply makeup as usual, but be gentle and practice good hygiene to avoid introducing bacteria into the injection sites, which could lead to breakouts.

    • Limit alcohol consumption for 24-48 hours before your appointment, as it can increase the risk of bruising and swelling
    • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin to ensure optimal results and avoid potential contamination
    • Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to support overall skin health
    • Cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding
