Some clients may experience minor swelling and some bruising; more major side effects are extremely rare. The procedure doesn’t carry a high risk of scarring.

For Sculptra, noticeable results can be seen 3-6 months after the Sculptra treatment and usually lasts between 2 to 3 years. Sculptra can be injected over a period of time to produce the desired result, and you can also re-inject Sculptra to prolong the effects of your treatment.

For Radiesse, results appear almost immediately given the product is a type of dermal filler. More volume appears over 2-3 months due to collagen stimulation.

It is important to understand that Sculptra is a collagen stimulator, not a dermal filler. This means that the Sculptra itself is not providing the filling. Sculptra causes a reaction in the skin which forms new collagen. Sculptra is also often used as injectable treatments in the face to treat fine lines, nasolabial folds, and facial volume. Depending on the desired level of augmentation, most clients require multiple treatment sessions; each performed approximately six weeks apart.

Choosing between Radiesse and Sculptra for your non-surgical BBL depends on your desired results and timeline. Both are injectable treatments performed in about 30 minutes with minimal downtime. Sculptra uses Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA) to stimulate your body's natural collagen production, leading to gradual improvement over 3-6 months. This approach offers long-lasting results (2+ years) but requires patience. Radiesse, a calcium hydroxyapatite filler, provides immediate volume and lift, with further enhancement through collagen stimulation over 2-3 months. While results are faster, they may not last as long as Sculptra (up to 2 years). If you prioritize immediate results, Radiesse might be ideal. For a more gradual, long-lasting enhancement, Sculptra could be the better choice.

• Treated areas may be red, swollen, lumpy/bumpy, firm and bruised for the first 2-14 days
• Do massage the treated areas 5 times a day for about 5 minutes for 5 days after treatment
• You may leak small amounts of fluid from the injection sites. This is normal
• Avoid strenuous workouts and alcohol for 48-72 hours
• A few days after treatment, the injected volume will absorb and you will look as you did before treatment. This is normal
• Your body will gradually build collagen in the treatment areas and full results may be seen in about 3 months

• Avoid vaccines & illnesses for two weeks prior to treatment
• Refrain from taking blood-thinning medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, and certain supplements like fish oil and vitamin E for at least one week prior to the treatment to minimize bruising and swelling, unless prescribed by your doctor
• Limit alcohol consumption 24-48 hours before the procedure as it can increase the risk of bruising and swelling
• Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your treatment to keep your skin hydrated and support overall health
• Choose loose-fitting clothing for the day of the treatment to avoid irritation and facilitate the procedure
• Notify your provider of any allergies, health conditions, or medications you're taking, as these can impact the safety and effectiveness of the treatment
