Acne scarring is a skin condition that leaves visible scars after acne has resolved. There are several types of acne scars, each of which can be treated differently. One type is an indentation, or pitting, that can have the appearance of dents or dimpling in the skin. Another type is raised scars that leaves a bumpy appearance. Additionally, some clients experience some darkening, redness or pigmentation that is left behind after an acne flare-up.
